I’m an award-winning, bilingual science journalist based in Mexico City. I'm a staff writer at Science magazine focusing on diversity in STEM. I’m also editorial director of The Open Notebook en Español.
My work has been published in Nature, The New York Times, Science News, Knowable, and Mongabay, among others.
In the past, I was a fellow at The Open Notebook, as well as a correspondent and editor for Medscape en Español.
I’m a founding member of the Mexican Network of Science Journalists. I'm also on the board of the National Association of Science Writers.
I hold a master's in Science Communication from UC Santa Cruz and a bachelor's in biomedical science from UNAM.
